Why Doesn’t Las Vegas Have Any Great Bakeries?
How is it possible that an isolated town with a population of 7,200 in the middle of nowhere has a gigantic world-class bakery (in Mammoth Lakes, CA)….and then just 42 miles away in another town with a population of 3,800 there’s ANOTHER astounding bakery selling fresh baked goods, deli items, and everything tastes amazing (in Bishop, CA)……
……and yet Las Vegas with an area population of 2,200,000 doesn’t have a single decent bakery?
I don’t get it.

Note: I’ve been to the Schats Bakeries in Mammoth Lakes and Bishop at least 20 times each (I used to make that stop driving between LV and Lake Tahoe). Those bakeries are AMAZING! Thanks to April Malavet for her post, which was a reminder of what we’re missing!
