PEACH FLORALS WITH A HINT OF ALUMINUM:
WINE IN A CAN ?
Well, this is a first.
Check iit out — wine inside an aluminum bottle.
Until this past weekend while at a local grocery store I’d never seen anything like this before. Glass bottles are the norm in wine packaging. I’ve also seen clay bottles. I’ve seen plenty of jugs and boxes, though such wines are to be avoided at all costs. But I’ve never come across light aluminum, which reminds me of the packaging of canned beer.

Today’s offering is Sancerre. Note that *Sancerre* isn’t a company nor a specific brand, but rather an Appellation. It refers to a trademark-protected specific region. Other appellations include Chateauneuf du Pape, Cotes-du-Rhone, Barolo, Champagne, and many more.

For me, given my admitted wine biases, almost anything that comes from Alsace, Loire, or Rhone is an automatic “buy and try.”
By “buy and try” what’s meant is — I’m not sure if this will suit my taste but the chances are damned good. Bet the “yes.”
