Republicans Hate Socialism, but Love Socialism When They Can Take Credit

 

REPUBLICANS ARE SHAMELESS!

Republicans hate socialism. That is, until they can take credit for something government does. Then, they love it!

When Republicans controlled pretty much everything — including the presidency, congress, the senate, and a majority of governorships and state legislatures, they kicked the can known as “INFRASTRUCTURE” down the road. They did NOTHING. They passed NOTHING. Zippo! America’s roads and bridges, already in a serious decline, continued to crumble.

Then, President Biden and Democrats got elected and passed the Infrastructure Bill. Republican critics called it “SOCIALISM.” Actually, it was and is SOCIALISM. See, SOCIALISM can work (and does work) when it comes to doing big things that help millions of people.

So, despite all the REPUBLICAN obstruction, including from Texas Guv. Abbutt, it passed and was signed into law in 2022. Now, in 2023, federal money is flowing into states to rebuild roads and bridges, including TEXAS. Even the ruby red state that sat on its ass and OPPOSED fixing the roads and bridges, is now getting federal money and drinking at the punchbowl.

But, now look. See who’s TAKING CREDIT for the Biden Infrastructure Bill? Anti-government zealots like Guv. Abbutt did NOTHING to advance infrastructure and yaps incessantly about “big government,” the “problem” in Washington, and “creeping Socialism.”

Then, he tries to take the credit.

Sit down and shut up, Abbutt. You didn’t do shit. Thanks for nothing.
