An Incomplete Guide to the Best Restaurant Cities in America

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT CITIES (2021 EDITION)

Which are the best food cities in America? Here’s my list. Based strictly on personal experiences, I ranked the top ten according to four major factors I think are most important — variety, quality, value, and uniqueness. I’m not much interested in Michelin star ratings or gaggles of celebrity chefs. Who really cares? That doesn’t affect my day-to-day eating, and it probably doesn’t mean much to you, either. Instead, I judge a food city by what it offers ME. Admittedly, as is the case in all food-related writing, the opinions expressed are very subjective.

Stop the Sprawl Now! Las Vegas is Running Out of Water!

Here’s a crazy idea.

How about we STOP out-of-state developers from turning Las Vegas into another Los Angeles?

Place an immediate MORATORIUM on all development into the mountains, which simply cannot support desperately strained water resources.

FREEZE all federal land currently being sold off to the highest corporate bidder which is then turned into an endless sea of gas stations and strip malls.

Force all new building permits to take place on EXISTING land, which is PLENTIFUL around the city limits.

FACT: There’s NOT ENOUGH WATER to continue building with reckless abandon and we are going to pay for this negligence if we don’t ACT NOW.

Allowing development into the mountains and letting this uncontrolled, unregulated “growth” in Las Vegas is SUICIDE.
