Good Riddance to Dirty Harry Reid

I frequently call out Republicans and conservatives when (I believe) they are wrong, which is often. Let me be just as level-handed here with Democrats and some so-called liberals. Fact: Harry Reid was as dirty as they come.
I’ll make this short and to the point.
Harry Reid is being warmly remembered today in a special service in Las Vegas attended by most of Nevada’s elected leaders as well as national dignitaries, including the President.
I frequently call out Republicans and conservatives when (I believe) they are wrong, which is often. Let me be just as level-handed here with Democrats and some so-called liberals. I understand why homage is given to Reid because there’s some unwritten rule about not criticizing the dead, but let this be a factual counterpoint to the mass delusion.
Harry Reid was corrupt. Harry Reid was dishonest. Harry Reid’s “word” could not be trusted (remember his online poker bill?). Harry Reid screwed people, including his own supporters. Harry Reid ruined people. Harry Reid did little for his state (drive the dilapidated highways). Harry Reid was the hand-stringed puppet of Nevada’s giant corporations, casinos, and mining. Harry Reid was no conservationist. Harry Reid was largely ineffectual as Senate Majority Leader. Harry Reid squandered a once-in-a-generation mandate and a majority in 2009-11. Harry Reid blundered in a terrible political miscalculation which is the root of a divided nation. Harry Reid told unsubstantiated lies about those he disagreed with (Sen. Romney and others). Reid praised those who were divisive and dangerous (he was a gutless lackey to Sheldon Adelson). Harry Reid somehow got insanely rich off of “public service.” Harry Reid was the granite face and the bedrock embodiment of the old-fashioned, ethically absent machine politician who is so rightfully vilified by the majority of citizens. He governed by fear, intimidation, and grift, and in secrecy. Although he didn’t smoke, he was the embodiment of the politician in the smokey backroom and as dirty as an ashtray.
That’s why he’s known as “Dirty Harry,” even within progressive circles. Ask man Nevada insiders off the record, and privately they will admit what’s posted above is true.
The worst insult of all is that we now must endure his name on the masthead of what should rightfully be called “Las Vegas International Airport.”
Good riddance.

Sounds like every politician in congress, a cesspool of selfserving criminals
