LET’S CALL IT TRUMPFLATION

Trump’s so-called economic “boom” (a total myth) was due to bust at some point. And now, here we are.

Like a giant ship hitting the iceberg, the economic disaster didn’t happen when we were manning lifeboats. The cause was back on the bridge of the “U.S.S. Economy Titanic” some time ago.

Excuse me for bragging, but I nailed it. I predicted it. I got it right.

Republican Hypocrisy 101: You Can’t be Anti-Government and then Demand the Government to “Do Something”

SO, LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT:

1. You want the government to get the hell out of the way.

2. You fist-pump record-smashing corporate profits.

3. You idolize free-market capitalism and apotheosize the laws of “supply and demand” like a high school cheerleader.

But now……you want THE GOVERNMENT to “DO SOMETHING” about inflation?

Rising housing costs are the single worst thing happening right now that is widening the gap between “haves” and “have-nots.” Not gas. Not groceries. It’s housing prices that have become ridiculous, thanks -in part- to predatory corporations.

The eight biggest oil companies in the world posted record-breaking second-quarter. And I do many record-breaking and astonishing. Their 2022 profits in April-May-June ’22 totaled $51 billion.

FIFTY-ONE BILLION DOLLARS!

No industry has made MORE profit in so little time in the history of the world than oil companies, right now.
