This week marks the 25th anniversary of Stu Ungar’s third World Series of Poker championship.
Ungar was one of only two players in history to win poker’s world championship three times, a feat unlikely to ever happen again. Ungar’s 1997 victory against all odds was the crowning achievement of a legendary career as a professional card player and the final moment of glory in a deeply-troubled life that ended just 17 months later at age 45.

I took several photographs during that series, even though I’m a terrible photographer and we didn’t have smartphones back then (I later wrote a book on Ungar).

Most of my extensive collection of poker photos–and old programs–and WSOP stuff–and assorted poker memorabilia packed into boxes and file cabinets was trashed into a dumpster a few years ago, but the following photos surfaced inside a lost folder while I held a garage sale last weekend.
Most of these photos have never been published before:

The one positive outcome from Democrats getting hammered in 2022, assuming that democracy itself survives, will be mass housecleaning.

As I mentioned in Part 1 (posted yesterday — READ HERE), Netflix has become the go-to channel for shows about bad people doing terrible things. Serial killers. Mad dictators. Con men. And again, check out the Top Ten on Netflix anytime, and you’ll see what I mean.
I don’t seek out shows about crime and war. There just seems to be an overabundance of them, presumably because that’s what the public wants. I also watch other stuff, of course, but for purposes of writing reviews, I’ll try to group these and stick to many of the most well-known Netflix programs released over the past year or two.
Last time, I did 20 reviews on the more recent shows. Now, I’ll dig a bit deeper into the archive (aided by the “What You Watched” feature at the push of a button–I sure didn’t do this from memory, except for the review part). Listed in the order they appear on my queue:

It’s pretty pathetic when the conservative opposition tries to make political gains off the health and welfare of babies and mothers.

Netflix has pretty much turned into a platform for shows about bad people who do terrible things. Serial killers. Dictators. Con artists. Should you doubt this, then check out the Top Ten on Netflix anytime, and you’ll see what I mean.
After some reluctance, I finally signed up to Netflix two years ago when COVID began, and have been watching ever since. But they sure do feature lots of shows about scumbags.
It’s been a little while since I wrote about the latest Netflix shows I’ve seen. I’ll try to make this a semi-quarterly thing from now on. What follows are the Netflix shows I’ve watched within the last few months, along with a short description, a brief review, and a grade (1-10 scale). Listed in the order they appear on my queue:

No, this email from Trump isn’t a farce. It’s real.
Well over a year after getting his idiot ass kicked by 8 million votes in the presidential election and then trying to overthrow the federal government in a violent failed coup attempt, remarkably, I am STILL receiving 2-3 emails per day from Trump begging for money. Once a con man, always a con man. His broke bankrupt ass continues stirring up his dirt dumb base, willing to spew any outrageous lie in a desperate cry for attention.
Incredibly, some cultists apparently continue sending this clown money. Why else would I be getting 100 emails a month (for donating $.01 six years ago). The emails are comically awful. Astoundingly childish. I can’t fucking believe anyone ever thought or still thinks this Putin-fellating traitor is worthy of the presidency.
Read his latest email, straight from the Trump Campaign (or click on the image to see a screenshot of Trump’s latest email solicitation and poll):
