Watching Him Lie (Again, and Again, and Again….)

WATCHING HIM LIE (AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN)

Is it worth it to tune-in tonight and watch him LIE?

All he does is LIE. All the time. About everything. LIES. LIES. LIES.

Tump will reportedly “address the nation” this evening. I fear this will be yet another pathetic moment of sadness and embarrassment for our country. We’ve come to expect rambling dishonesty, punctuated with constant self-aggrandizement to the glorious golden self.

I’ve now lived through a dozen U.S. Presidents (1962 to present). Even those we disagreed with usually could be trusted on basic subjects, especially so in times of crisis. Even those I personally despised told the truth a majority of the time, if for no other reason than serial dishonesty is the quickest way to lose one’s credibility. And in politics and all facets of leadership, trust is essential. Even when we don’t agree with them, we need to trust the people in charge.

But this president is very different. We’ve never fallen into such a deep abyss of deceit nor such a degree of dubious dishonesty. Presumably, tonight……

— He’ll LIE about the so-called “threat” posed by Venezuela. which quite simply does not exist.

— He’ll LIE about the nation’s economy, which he grades as an “A+++++.”

— He’ll LIE about the reality of consumer prices and affordability, which he’s repeatedly called “a hoax.”

— He’ll LIE about unemployment, which as of yesterday, reached a 4-year high (now at 4.6 percent, which might actually be higher because official US Government data can no longer be trusted).

— He’ll LIE about health care and the national crisis he and MAGA Republicans have created, with premiums for millions about to skyrocket. He may even LIE about his “concept of a new health care plan” that he’s been promising the American people for NINE YEARS now.

— He’ll LIE about “cutting drug prices 1000 percent,” a preposterous claim he’s repeated multiple times. Maybe someone can explain how it’s possible to cut the price on something “1000 percent” — that is, unless buying the item also results in getting back NINE TIMES the price in a rebate.

— He’ll LIE about his Trump Tariffs bringing in “$18 TRILLION” to the treasury, when last year the total *combined* amount of ALL U.S. imports was just……..$3.3 trillion. More imaginary numbers. More LIES.

— He’ll LIE about the United States being, in his own words, “the hottest country in the world,” all while tourism is plunging and many abroad now look to America with skepticism and pessimism, and even sorrow.

— He’ll LIE about the impact of his mass failures, such as having to BAIL OUT American farmers with a $12B hush money subsidy (meanwhile, Argentina gets $20B). At the same time, he’ll decry the evils of “socialism.”

— He’ll LIE about legal immigrants including those who have followed all laws, including American citizens, labeling entire ethnic groups as “GARBAGE.”

— He’ll LIE about “ending wars” abroad that never happened, negotiating so-called “peace deals” that have already blatantly been violated, and even claims to have made peace in the Middle East. Yeah, good luck with that. Remember when Trump claimed he would end the Ukraine-Russia War on “day one?” How’s that working out?

— And of course, if the Trumpstein Files come up at all in tonight’s address to the nation, he’ll certainly LIE about that, too even though whatever eventually is released to the public has probably been scrubbed and sanitized for Trump’s protection (according to his own words, he barely knew Epstein and hasn’t spoken to him in 20 years–overwhelming evidence proves otherwise).

This doesn’t even begin to touch on the ***tens of thousands** of LIES he’s told over just the past year, while on the campaign trail the year before that, during his first four-year term, and decades of chronic dishonesty before–which included dozens of felonies, a rape judgement, grifting from his own charity, education fraud, multiple bankruptcies, lies about the 2020 election and his role in the violent insurrection of 1-6-21, and untold numbers of LIES to wives, those he’s screwed over, and innumerable associates and political appointees he’s thrown under the bus.

FACT: NO ONE IN AMERICAN POLITICAL HISTORY HAS LIED MORE THAN DONALD TRUMP.

There is nothing to believe. There’s nothing to trust. Why watch? Why bother? All he does is LIE.
