While Trump is preparing to land troops to fight in the Middle East (here we go again!!!!), let’s keep in mind what he and his reckless and incompetent DOGE cutthroats have done to OUR AMERICAN Veterans here at home over the past 14 months, all on his watch.

The Veterans Administration (VA), the federal agency dedicated to running programs and services that benefit veterans and their families, has been utterly decimated.

The Trump Administration cut nearly 28,000 VA employees overall (about 6 percent of all agency staff) between January and December of 2025. This is despite an increase in workload and those who need treatment and care!

Included in these losses of TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND medical professionals were — over 2,700 nurses, over 1,000 medical officers, and more than 1,000 psychologists and social workers, as well as over 1,800 people tasked with evaluating veterans’ claims for benefits.

Slash! Gone!

Think of that. Nurses. Medical officers. Maybe most important of all….psychologists and social workers who are so vitally important not just to doing the right thing for these veterans but also dealing with those who have suffered PTSD, which creates a wide array of problems domestically and especially for those who are around them including their own families.

Gone.

All those medical professionals cut. Heartlessly. Without any concern whatsoever for the well-being of people who served.

Oh, but look at him saluting the veterans by saying a couple of words off of a teleprompter. Meanwhile he sends another generation off to the Middle East to needlessly risk their lives, kicking their dad’s and uncles and friends out into the VA parking lot.

Quit lying and believing all the bullshit. Does shutting down crisis hotlines for veterans sound like the right thing to do? Is this even the smart thing to do? Seriously think about that! For fucks sake, think about all those hundreds of thousands who believed the last Republican lie and obscene war in the Middle East who are still living and fighting daily battles. Cutting VA social workers? Really? Does this sound like somebody who gives a shit about those who served?

And to anyone in the military who may be reading this (and I doubt there are many but still) he doesn’t give a shit about you and he never has and never will. If and hopefully when you return home you’ll also find that out when you try to get medical care or psychological treatment. You’ll be on your own assuming these maniacs are still in power.

Of course, the MAGA circus world of hate for profit freaks and performative clowns and blonde talking head bimbos will never report any of these things, nor point the blame where it belongs.
Trump’s false praise of veterans which so often borders on stolen valor is always purely for the cameras, but when it comes down to actual concern and treatment making commitments to their care, he doesn’t give a bone spur on a flying airman’s ass.

Remember that, as the troops risk their lives for another big lie.
