This Jan. 6th, Never Forget What Happened 3 Years Ago
“They will believe ANYTHING they’re told, if repeated enough times.”
The Trump crazy train is now more delusional and dangerous than ever. Despite all the investigations and widespread exposure of what happened three years ago and all those who were convicted in courts of law, nevertheless, more than one-third of all Republicans believe the FBI planned and instigated the Jan. 6, 2021 riots and insurrection plot that nearly kicked American democracy into the abyss.
Lunatics.
Sick of hearing about Trump and the attempted overthrow of the federal government on 1/6/21? Well, people better wake up. This is no time for remaining on the sidelines. This is no time for staying quiet so as not to offend anyone. This is no time apolitical disinterest or “staying out of politics.” By not engaging, you’ve become the enablers. Frankly, I find that pathetic.
Elsewhere in the world, people are fighting for democracy. Some are even risking their lives. When this chapter in our lives gets written, we will ask, “where were you?” What will YOU do?
Crazed crackpots are funny and might be dismissed….that is, until they number in the tens of millions and then become a cult. Does anyone study history anymore? Will we ever learn from the past? Fed by a steady buffet of innumerable lies and grotesque exaggerations spread by opportunistic political whores in right-wing media, the most illogical threat to the country since the American civil war has been spawned.
Trump’s MAGA cult is a gullible flock of blind followers susceptible to rehashed lies and perverse persuasions. Facts do not matter in their world. They will believe ANYTHING they’re told, if repeated enough times. And stoked by a wanna-be dictator, they’re now in a position to take over the country.
Let’s all try to remember this as we move into 2024.
