Remember that memorable great American moment that happened 14 years ago when then-presidential candidate John McCain, a lifelong Republican, grabbed the microphone from the crackpot bigot in the middle of a campaign rally?

Fast forward to 2022.  Sadly, such a moment would NEVER happen today. Not anywhere.

But remembering that exchange now, what’s far worse about it is this. Today, the two roles in the photo are totally flip-flopped. Now, in Republican circles, the crackpot conspiracy theorist isn’t just the loudest and dumbest voice in the room. It’s often THE CANDIDATE.

It’s like McCain’s doddering dirt dumb crazy woman took over the entire Republican Party. Now, it’s the McCain-type figures who get the microphone ripped away. Liz Cheney. Adam Kinzinger. Sanity. Gone.

She won.
