Remembering William Friedkin

 

I always love a great story, and this one about how one of the most famous car chase scenes in movie history happened is well worth your time, especially, if you’re a movie aficionado.  It’s from the classic 1971 movie The French Connection.

Oscar-winning director William Friedkin returned to the filming locations where that epic scene was shot decades later and remembers the many challenges of creating that chase, which was completely illegal by the way, but which also reflects the passion of those who create art.
