Meet “Garcon” — WSOP Security Going to the Dogs

Carzon, the WSOP security dog

Meet “Garcon.”

He’s a hardworking member of the Rio Security Team helping to keep everyone safe at this year’s World Series of Poker, taking place now through July 15th.

As this short video reveals, Garcon takes his job very seriously!  He’s a gorgeous Belgian Malinois, a breed known for fierce loyalty, intelligence, and agility.

You might see Garcon and some of his other doggie friends around the poker tables at this year’s series.  If you do, enjoy their spirit and dedication.  But please do let them do their job.  Garcon and his pals will stay plenty busy keeping us all safe and secure!

  1. “Garcon and his pals will stay plenty busy keeping us all safe and secure!”

    From what?

What incidents have there been at previous WSOPs that made someone say, “Boy, we really need a dog roaming the poker tables”?

The amount by which I, as a poker player, would feel more secure knowing Garcon and his pals are on the job: precisely 0%.

No disrespect to Garcon, he appears to be a wonderful animal. To me, though, this seems to scream solution looking for a problem.

    • Weed, man. He’s looking for the weed!!!

    • Really!?
      Fuck the police.
That dog is just there for intimidation.
Better than one of Ty Strearts dumb ass publicity stunts though. ( re: frisbee dogs)
