It’s Time to Impeach Corrupt Clarence Thomas

IMPEACH CLARENCE THOMAS FOR CORRUPTION — NOW!

Clarence Thomas should be forcefully removed from the U.S. Supreme Court, that is, if he does not voluntarily resign. His staggering ethics violations, repeated lies, and gross intentional failure to disclose so many violations revealing an obscene career of grifting as a once-trusted member of the nation’s highest court absolutely demands immediate correction and the most serious consequences.

It’s bad enough that this right-wing finger puppet of Republican billionaires has served so long without being caught, and been a willing bag boy of grotesque inequity and personal privilege, while he himself was the beneficiary of so many previous liberal judicial decisions and progressive policies. Were it not for the liberal giants of the court of the past he’s now disrespecting, he’d never have gotten into Yale, let alone made it onto a federal court.

The very fact that Thomas did not disclose such an astronomical number of secret under the table perks received and enjoyed is immediate grounds for dismissal. Notice that none of the other SCOTUS justices have this scandalous baggage. Only Thomas, who never should have been confirmed in the first place given his lack of character. The fact alone that he’s LIED about his grifting from his sugar daddy singles out Thomas alone as a dirty corrupted grifter.

Now, resign, and go play golf with your billionaire asshole buddies, Tommy.

______________

More about Clarence Thomas’ sugar daddy.

Texas scumbag Harlan Crow pays for his vacations. Buys him yacht trips. Pays for his private jets. Buys him football tickets. Box seats! Pays $150K for his mom’s rent. Pays the tuition of the judge’s nephew. Pays his golf club dues.

But hey, I’m sure it’s because they’re just “close friends.”

Nice gig, you SCOTUS whore.

Breaking News:

“(Conservative activists) sent their private jets to fetch him—including, on more than one occasion, an entire 737.” Yeah, an entire airplane. No ethical issues there, huh?

[MAGA = sound of crickets]

  1. Comment *Not good but not alone … just some other information:

“Thomas has been far from alone on the court in enjoying the largesse of the uber-wealthy.

Late liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg in 2018 took a trip to Israel compliments of billionaire Morris Kahn, who had business before the court just a year earlier.

Late Justice Antonin Scalia took at least 258 subsidized trips while he was on the court and he was on one when he suddenly died in 2016.

Scalia’s more-liberal colleague, retired Justice Stephen Breyer, took at least 225 subsidized trips between 2004 and 2016. They include a 2013 trip to the exclusive island of Nantucket compliments of private-equity billionaire David Rubenstein, Gabe Roth, executive director of the group Fix the Court, reported.

Those were some of the 1,309 trips Supreme Court justices took compliments of others between 2004 and 2019, according to a list compiled by the watchdog group Open Secrets. That’s nine trips per justice, per year, and it’s unlikely they stayed at the Holiday Inn on most of them.

And those are just the ones that justices disclosed. It’s unclear how many — like decades of Thomas’ travels — have been unreported, or whether the justices will suffer any consequences for not reporting them.”

Good post. Reliable info. Even though we likely agree all these perks are problematic (to put it mildly), the clear distinction here is DISCLOSURE. All those trips you cite were reported. Thomas’ were not. Moreover, I’m drawing some distinctions between Ginsberg going to Israel or Scalia traveling to wherever ( I do not know any details)……versus a SCOTUS sailing on yachts, sitting on the 50 yard line in box seats in NFL games, and guzzling $6,000 bottles of wine).
