I Have Just One Word to Say About “Deflategate”

Deflated-NFL-Football

The New England Patriots have been accused of cheating in an AFC playoff game last season, and quite possibly multiple games played over a much longer period of time.

The infraction consists of team-supplied game balls being deflated from their normally-prescribed air pressure.  This action which was intentional presumably gave the Patriots quarterback and its offensive players a much better grip on the ball, and an unfair advantage.

Apparently, as difficult as this is to believe, current NFL rules say that all respective teams are responsible for supplying game balls to their own offenses when they take the field.  The league rule which was worked fine for 80 years before that, was changed back in 2006 to allow this, and most teams have probably been doctoring footballs for their offensive players ever since.  The scandal finally blew up in a big way because it’s New England, and everyone is either insanely jealous or hates head coach Bill Belichick and would love to see him twitch at the end of a hangman’s rope.

Accordingly, I have just one word to say about the so-called “Deflategate.”

That one word is as follows…..

See, I promised to keep this short and to the point.  It’s the NFL that should be suspended and pay a huge fine — for gross incompetence and stupidity.
