Divine Intervention?
Social media is polluted with all kinds of gibberish right now in the aftermath of the shooting.
Donald Trump is being hailed a divine leader by millions of followers. Many elected Republicans are also embracing the God theory. Some say the failed assassination attempt proves he’s protected by higher power. Many Republicans, MAGA-maniacs, and evangelicals believe God intervened and altered the trajectory of a deadly bullet, which missed the former president’s head by millimeters. Trump’s guardian angel made the save! It was a miracle! (* see footnote below)
Divine intervention? A miracle? Really?
Gee, I wonder what the grieving widow and two children of the brave firefighter, Corey Comperatore, who was murdered by that bullet (or one like it shot in a gun burst within seconds) thinks about God’s alleged super powers. The bullets that miraculously were diverted away from Trump by guardian angels instead plowed and exploded into the skull of a good father trying to protect his wife two daughters. He’s dead.
Face it — if you really and truly believe Trump was protected by a guardian angel or some God or divine intervention, or whatever you want to call it, then you must also concede that same higher power diverted the bullets into the skulls and bodies of three other people, one of whom died.
On Saturday, if God was a savior, then he was also a murderer.

* we don’t know all the facts yet, but Trump’s ear injury could have been from a shard of broken glass.
The poor firefighter who is a hero was supposedly 90degrees to Trumps left side. He was hit with one of the other shots the little asshole got off. Or is this another “magic bullet”? Whatever it was Trump is the luckiest man alive.
