Congratulations Henry Orenstein (He’s In the Money!)

With Henry Orenstein at the 2014 WSOP moments after he cashed out in eighth place in the Seven-Card Stud World Championship.
A few days ago, when Henry Orenstein entered the $10,000 buy-in Seven-Card Stud event here at the 2014 World Series of Poker, not many thought he had much of a chance playing against many of the best players in the world. Let’s face it, at 90-years-old, just making it through the grind of the three-day poker tournament would be difficult enough, let alone outplaying the rest of the field.
Well, Mr. Orenstein knows a thing or two about surviving. He outlasted all but seven players in the tournament and ended up finishing in eighth place. Mr. Orenstein cashed for the first time here in 18 years. His last in-the-money finish was the Seven-Card Stud championship back in 1996 — which he won.
Mr. Orenstein is most certainly this year’s oldest player to make the money. He may even be the oldest player ever to cash at the WSOP. Unfortunately, age records were not available for many of the early years of the WSOP. But a record may very well have been set here today.
We hope to see you back here again next year, Mr. Orenstein. Congratulations!

Transformers – that is all – Well done Henry, a legend in the business, no doubt about that!
Congratulations on the run for the bracelet. Enjoyed your commentary with Tuchman on the WSOP stream afterwards. For some reason the network hustled you out of the booth after your comments on the secret to a long marriage. Cheers!
lol couldn’t believe i heard that!
“My advice to you on your upcoming wedding: The day after take her outside and slap her in the face. When she says why did you do that? You tell her, remember thats what I do to you when I’m not even angry with you, imagine what I’d do if I was angry”
LOL! It was pokers CliBu-DonSter moment. Wait ’till NoDal responds.
Delighted you zeroed in on ol’ Henry. You do know he was the guy who first developed the hole-card camera that made poker a game for TV. I knew Henry back when I lived on the East Coast. He was a legend in the stud games at Borgata. In fact, there were rumors he invented the game in his youth….
i knew mr. orenstein as a child– my dad worked for him at Topper Toys— He as a kind a generous man back then– and still is today!!!!
