An Unconventional Convention
Social media isn’t as constructive as it can be and should be. Here’s one small way I thought of towards making it better.
Imagine a forum where people of many different backgrounds come together to express, share, enjoy, reflect, discuss, and ponder the widest range of thoughts.
This is a new social group on Facebook. Anyone can participate. Some topics, most chosen by me, will be light and fun. Others will be far more serious. The only rules which apply will be my rules, which will be strictly enforced. No insults or ridicule is permitted. No memes. Just straightforward and hopefully honest comments.
“An Unconventional Convention” is my way of creating a constructive forum for my friends, associates, and followers to interact in a positive way. We might find that what ideas unite us is more important than the things which divide us. We’ll see.
Although open to change, I’m aiming for three new topics per week — a Monday-Wednesday-Friday release schedule. All discussions will take place on Facebook.

The first topic was intended to be deeply thought-provoking. Here it is:
Question #1: If given the chance to know the exact date and time of your death, would you want to know? Moreover, let’s say you must make this decision to know right now — not later. This is your one shot to know your future. Would you take it?
(Caveat: Entirely hypothetical, of course. We presume we won’t be able to change our destiny)
I HAVE ALSO POSTED A TWITTER POLL WHERE YOU MAY VOTE ON THE QUESTION:
I began a Facebook discussion and this question came up:
If given the chance to know the exact time of your death, would you want to know? Moreover, let's say you must make this decision right now — not later. This is your one shot to know your future. Would you take it?
