B.B. King died last week here in Las Vegas.  He was 89.

I saw B.B. King perform live three times.  I always loved his music, even when listening to the blues wasn’t particularly fashionable.  To me, the blues has always been the most honest genre of music.

My Thoughts on Steve Lipscomb’s “Lifetime Achievement Award”

Steve Lipscomb was honored recently with a special “Lifetime Achievement Award.”  The honor was presented at the 2015 American Poker Awards, held last Friday evening at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.  Those in attendance included about 250 poker luminaries, including 14 other honorees.  I was lucky enough to be in the audience.

Dinner at Keens Steakhouse (New York City)

Keens Steakhouse has been open since 1885.  It’s the second-oldest steakhouse in New York City. I had the chance to dine there last week for the very first time.  Joining me were several dear friends, some of whom I’ll tell you more about.
