It’s been nearly two decades. Today marks the 19th anniversary of 9/11, a fitting time to look back and remember the World Trade Center before they collapsed on that terrible day.

9/11: Seventeen Years Later

Here’s an article on what the World Trade Center looked like before the attack. We visited a few times and took these photographs, which are now painful to reflect upon. I suppose that many of the people we met on those visits died on that terrible day.

Writer’s Note: This marks the first time I’ve written about the events of September 11, 2001. I resided at 1201 South Eads Street, located in the Crystal City section of Arlington, Virginia. My ninth-floor residence at The Bennington overlooked the Pentagon. I remember that morning.
