TRUMP — IN HIS OWN WORDS
No edits. No distortion. No out of context “gotcha” journalism. No–this isn’t “fake” news. Just real news. Unfiltered, factual. 100 percent verifiable.
Here’s the presidential candidate — on his own stage, at his own campaign rally, during his own speech — in his own words:
Read. Watch. Listen.

SOCIAL IN-SECURITY:
MY VISIT TODAY TO THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE
Early this afternoon, I stepped into the local SSA office to take care of some family business. I did the responsible thing: (1) Made my appointment online, (2) had to wait 5 weeks, (3) but I finally got the appointment, (4) then I showed up half an hour early, and (5) ended up sitting and waiting for more than two hours inside the local office on Buffalo.

THEN AND NOW:
MOVIE: “THE GAMBLER” (1974)
CAESARS PALACE LAS VEGAS
On the 50th anniversary of the release of The Gambler, I walked through the iconic circular casino pit at Caesars Palace late last night, where the ecstatic crescendo of Axel Freed’s gambling “high” takes place. One of the most intense movies about gambling ever filmed, the 1974 lesser-known cult classic isn’t shown often. Not to be confused with embarrassingly dreadful 2014 remake starring Mark Wahlberg (read my review HERE), the earlier version starring James Caan in the title role contains a riveting portrayal of addiction and self-destruction, boosted by an outstanding supporting cast — including Lauren Hutton, Paul Sorvino, Burt Young, M. Emmet Walsh, and James Woods (in his first film role).

PART 1: PETER LUGER (SHORT REVIEW)
Easily, an all-time Top-10 classic steakhouse experience tonight at Peter Luger’s at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. I dined at the PL Brooklyn-Williamsburg location many years ago and this dinner tonight does that flagship restaurant honors.
With Scott Wilson and Warren Dombowsky, both in town visiting from Vancouver (pictured above).

WHY IS DR. FAUCI BEING GRILLED TODAY?
A despicable idiot circus broke out in Washington today with (now retired) Dr. Anthony Fauci — who deserves every accolade possible for his life’s work — being dragged in front of a Congressional committee to testify while being attacked about COVID era policy. Leading the idiot brigade from the wacko-right was MAGA bag-hag Marjorie Taylor Greene, the insufferable Georgia yokel who wouldn’t know a banjo from a microscope.

A QUESTION ABOUT OLD JURIES AND THE MOVIE “12 ANGRY MEN”
Each time the classic legal drama 12 Angry Men comes on television, I try to tune in and (re)watch it. The “action” takes place almost entirely inside a single small room, with jurors shoe-horned around a table deciding the fate of a Puerto Rican teenager on trial for the murder of his father. Though it fared poorly in movie theaters when first released in 1957, 12 Angry Men has since become a short course and a de facto legal education for multiple generations and is widely acknowledged as one of the best courtroom dramas ever made. To this day, it has timeless lessons for us all about evidence and preliminary judgement.
However, I still have a question about this film that (so far) has never been answered.

IT’S OFFICIAL: CALL THEM “TRUMPLICANS”
I’ve got a vault of opinions and analysis on the Trump convictions, which will be shared with readers in the coming days.
Let me begin with this:
Fact: The Republican Party is a Trump cult. The new name should be TRUMPLICANS.
