Meet “Bimbo Barbie”

MEET “BIMBO BARBIE”

I made the stupid mistake of tuning in to watch BIMBO BARBIE today.

You’ve seen her.  She’s constantly lying, insulting every question that was directed at her, visibly frustrated, angry, totally out of her league, losing her shit in front of the cameras. I’d look up her name, but she isn’t worth the Google search to find and spell her name right.

All they do is LIE. Lies. Lies. Lies.

All she does is LIE. Lies. Lies. Lies.

NOTHING they say is honest or believable.

Parading a 27-year-old cult zombie to deflect incompetence, stupidity, and corruption doesn’t inspire confidence. It only makes things more obvious.

It’s hard to tell which place spews more bullshit — Bimbo Barbie and the Trump stooges constantly spinning excuses and spewing toxins, or the DC wastewater and sewage treatment plant running 24/7.

My money’s on Bimbo Barbie.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE “OLD LAS VEGAS”

Recently, I came across this old photo. Click and enlarge to get a better view.

Take a closer look at the sign. It’s undated, but based on some quick research, I believe it’s from 1967 on the Las Vegas Strip. [see footnote below]

THE GRATEFUL DEAD FESTIVAL (AKA “SHAKEDOWN STREET”)

I’ve never been much into the Grateful Dead. That’s a confession more than a statement, because I’ve certainly missed some great times. I deeply appreciate -even admire- the unique sub-culture and cool people they’ve attracted to their events for more than half a century. Indeed, there’s something really special about “Deadheads.” I won’t even bother to try explaining it. If you’ve ever been around a Grateful Dead event of any kind or been with that crowd–you’ll get it. If not, there’s no point, really. Trust me, the Dead is something not to merely listen to or enjoy, but to experience.

Remembering Norm Clarke

Very sad to hear of Norm Clarke’s death. For many years, Norm was a “must-read” daily columnist — first with the Associated Press, then the Rocky Mountain News, and for the last three decades in the LVRJ when it was once a diverse newspaper with an independent voice. He knew everybody in town and often was the first to break big local news. When the phone rang and you saw “Norm Clarke” was calling, that was a mandatory pick up.

The Myth of Moving to the Middle

THE MYTH OF MOVING TO THE MIDDLE:

WHY DEMOCRATS SHOULD EMBRACE LIBERALISM, AND NOT RUN AWAY FROM AMERICAN MAJORITY OPINION

This article is long. But, it’s important.

I keep hearing that Democrats need to “move to the middle.” We’re told most Americans oppose things that are “too liberal.”

Hmmm. But, is this really true? Let’s examine several issues and look at the facts:
