MAGA-flation: Coffee Prices are Skyrocketing

Posted by on Aug 26, 2025 in Blog | 1 comment

MAGA COFFEEFLATION

Have you bought a cup of coffee lately?

Or, been to the grocery store and purchased fresh ground coffee?

Coffee prices are soaring! And, most of it’s due to Trump’s idiotic tariffs on coffee-producing countries. A whopping 95 percent of coffee sold in the US is imported.

When the moron took office back in January the average price of coffee was about $6 a pound across the United States. Today it’s $8.41 a pound and continuing to spike. That’s a 40 percent increase! READ MORE HERE

I thought Trump and Republicans were going to tackle inflation. That’s what they told us. That’s what they promised.

Gee, are we “great” yet? I’m not sure how much more “greatness” I can afford.

Why Do Foreign Leaders Subject Themselves to the Trump Media Circus?

Posted by on Aug 25, 2025 in Blog | 0 comments

WHY DO FOREIGN LEADERS SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO THE TRUMP MEDIA CIRCUS?

I don’t get it.

Each and every time Trump welcomes another foreign leader into the White House, it’s accompanied by a lengthy (and very often lively) press gathering, which consists of questions and answers. But in reality, it’s almost all Trump rambling. THE ENTIRE TIME. Recently, someone timed these circus sideshows. The calculation was that Trump talks *87 percent* of the time. That’s pretty shocking given most of the cabinet and his advisors are also in the room, in addition to the leader of the foreign country. It’s like listening to a chain saw rip through a forest of dead trees.

JESUS CHRIST, IT’S RYAN GOSLING !!!

[Why Do Christians Continue to Believe Jesus was White?]

Yesterday, I shopped at Costco. I was surprised to see a big display for Christian-themed art in the middle of the store. Jesus stuff. Crosses. Angels. Doves. Lambs. Lots of lambs. And, of course, some handsome movie star dude who looks just like Ryan Gosling.

The First “Woke” Movement

NO, “WOKE” DID NOT ORIGINATE ON THE LEFT:
IT’S ORIGINS MAY ACTUALLY SURPRISE YOU

In the summer heat of 1971 in broad daylight in front of thousands of people protesting “offensive ethnic stereotypes” in New York City, a stranger approached Mafia godfather Joseph Columbo and blasted three bullets into his body, including two into the head. More on that story in a moment.

MAGA Snowflakes Go Ape Shit at Cracker Barrel

Read: MAGA’s Cracker-Barrel Meltdown
Why let things go quietly when you can make them die violently?

Imagine struggling in the modern world as such a pathetic little snowflake that you get all weepy-eyed and overly-sensitive over a company logo and sign.

Seriously?

It’s a logo, people!

Hey, you MAGA hillbillies, try this: Calm the fuck down. Nobody’s going to yank away your basket of buttermilk biscuits and giant platter of pork sausages. Deep breaths, okay? There are still plenty of dusty American flags and old-timey shotguns hanging all over the walls in every Cracker Barrel restaurant. Rocking chairs are there in the front porch waiting area. Sit down, shut up, and slurp on a pecan roll.

You can still feel safe, little snowflakes.

Right on Target

RIGHT ON TARGET !

Read: As Target Names New CEO, Stock Tumbles 10% As DEI Hit And Tariffs Drag On Sales

Don’t let the automatic door hit you in the ass on your way out, you overpaid leech.

Target’s bloodsucking CEO, who was somehow paid a whopping $77.5 million in compensation only a few years ago for running a bunch of tidied up K-Marts, got the pink slip. Drop off your red vest at personnel, Brian. And, there will be some papers for you to sign when you pick up your final check. Oh, and the unemployment office opens at 9 am Monday morning.

Hit the fucking bricks, pal!

Brian Cornell, the corporate barnacle who gleefully took his cut out of each bottle of bleach and speck of laundry detergent with every customer purchase, made the catastrophic decision to end Target’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, which triggered an ongoing customer boycott nationwide. Nice going!

The company was also slammed financially in the midst of Trump’s destructive tax-hike tariff’s, which are now beginning to ripple-rock the economy and hurt consumers. Oh, and CEOs apparently, too.

You know the old saying–what goes around comes around.

Quote:

“Target said people were scaling back spending over worries about the impact of tariffs and the state of the economy. The company also said customer boycotts affected sales.”

Now Brian, let me use a popular line from your favorite reality-TV show president:

YOU’RE FIRED !

Unfit for Television: Review of Netflix Documentary about “The Biggest Loser”

“Beauty is only skin deep “

— an old fable

A new documentary about the once-controversial hit television show, The Biggest Loser now ranks as Netflix’s top program. Against my better judgement, I decided to watch it. To my surprise, I’m glad I did.

Titled Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser it’s a three-part series detailing the origin, rocketing rise in popularity, internal scandals, and ultimately the disgraced downfall of a reality television series that ran on NBC for 12 years. Billed as a weight-loss competition, the program spawned several copycat reality shows in other countries. Licensed “Loser”-themed merchandise even netted more than a billion dollars in profits worldwide, monies indirectly extracted from all the sweat, fat, pain, and vomit on full display each week branded as “family entertainment.” (yeah–several overworked contestants were shown vomiting during the show)

The Fart of the Deal / The Art of the Steal

THE FART OF THE DEAL AND THE ART OF THE STEAL

Stop calling it a “historic summit.”

There was nothing “historic” about any of it, other than the world witnessing the shameful spectacle of two power-mad dictators — one wickedly intelligent, coldly calculating, and consistent….the other woefully inept, simpleminded, and unstable — staging a pitiful photo op and quickie “press conference” on a American soil.

I’ve seen more substance come out of 15-minute meetings at my local Starbucks, even when they got my order wrong.

Review: “Live Aid” Documentary on CNN

REVIEW: “LIVE AID” DOCUMENTARY (ON CNN)

If you’re 50+ (born in 1975, or earlier), you remember LIVE AID. Now, organizer/musician/activist Bob Geldof reveals the stories behind all the music, the mayhem, the madness, and the noble effort to do something and try and make a difference

Last month (July 2025) marked the 40th anniversary of the most grandiose spectacle in popular music history. In 1985, “LIVE AID,” a mega-rock concert played simultaneously across two continents and attracted the most stellar lineup of acts ever, tried to focus our attention on a faraway forgotten place with forgotten people amidst a mega-materialistic world obsessed with wealth and status. That LIVE AID took place at all in the “greed is good” eighties remains a peculiar twisted irony. Recently, CNN Entertainment wrapped up its documentary of Live Aid: When Rock ‘n’ Roll Took On the World, which reveals much of what happened offstage and when the mics were turned off — before, during, and after the duel rock concerts were held in London (UK) and Philadelphia (USA).
