More Republican Hypocrisy
Every single Republican present voted against the measure to make campaign finance more transparent. EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN.
Hey, REPUBLICANS.
You claim to be for transparency, right?
You favor getting rid of dirty money in political campaigns, right?
You scream about the “swamp” in Washington, right?
You insist you’re fighting for disenfranchised and forgotten working-class Americans, who deserve a stronger voice in government, right?
Bull. Fucking. Shit.
Last week, while you were parked in front of FOX News sucking on another bombardment of lies from Tucker Carlson like a poisoned popsicle, the UNITED STATES SENATE held a floor vote. The bill would require organizations that spend money on our elections to disclose the identities of donors who give $10,000 or more during an election cycle.
Fact: Every single Republican present voted against the measure. EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN. 49 out of 50 Republicans (one wasn’t present). So much for transparency, huh?
So, once again — you bitch and moan and post your trash talk about dark money and corruption and swamps and dirty elections. Then, when a bill actually comes along to clean up some of the mess (or at least expose who’s behind the dark ads that influence elections), you support corrupt candidates who aim to keep the dirty system in place.
You deplorable hypocrites.
The swamp? YOU are the fucking swamp.
