“Consider Your Man Card Reissued” ?

“A great way to get men interested in guns is to threaten their masculinity.”
GUN RIGHTS ADVOCATES LIE
Don’t believe for a millisecond the lies spread by “gun rights advocates” regarding the Second Amendment and benign home and personal protection. They want you to believe it’s all about safety and preserving your rights. It’s not about safety, at all.
READ: How gun makers bait insecure young men into buying weapons
Take a hard look at the many ADVERTISEMENTS over the decades run by these criminal empires which specifically target INSECURE YOUNG MEN.
Bushmaster, one of the many toxic companies contributing to mass shootings, entices mostly young males to go after their “man card.” Marketing is aggressively designed to challenge young men in popular media they typically consume (MAXIM magazine, with covers laced with supermodels was a favorite — now that’s shifted to the Internet and lots of far-Right websites).
Bushmaster isn’t alone. Remington unabashedly capitalized on unrealistic and regressive ideals of masculinity where the intended marketing message is to HUMILIATE young men into arming themselves with combat weapons. And while it’s a cruel tactic, it’s an effective one, given the well-documented data showing that a great way to get men interested in guns is to threaten their masculinity.
This isn’t about home safety. This isn’t about stopping criminals. This is about something else.
It’s all about profits. It’s BLOOD MONEY.
All we need to do is look at their own incendiary marketing. All we need to do is observe their NRA-frenzied complicity. All we need to do is PAY ATTENTION. They are telling you who they are. And they’re AGGRESSIVELY going after YOUNG MEN. Mostly weak-minded- highly impressionable, mateless, isolated, and in too many cases DANGEROUS young men. You tell me what kind of young 18-year-old male needs two AR-15s and nearly 400 rounds of ammunition. Do you think that’s for fucking “home protection?”
What gun-fellating country are you living in? Wait. Don’t answer that. We know already.
To the gun-rights community, you are LYING. The ads from these criminal corporate empires tell us exactly who they are targeting, and who are their ideal customers. It’s young, insecure, dangerous young men — the types who end up committing most mass shootings.
