Lunch with Pete Rose (sorta’ kinda’ — well, not really)

A funny thing happened at Pasta Mia today.

I was with Rich Korbin making another short video of my favorite lunch spots, and that’s when Pete Rose walked in.

Rich went over and talked to Rose.  They conversed for about 10 minutes.  Afterward, I asked Rich what they talked about, and of course, baseball was the topic of conversation.  Rich, who grew up going to Yankees, Mets, and Giants games in the late 50s and early 60s probably knows as much about Major League Baseball as Rose does, so I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall to that conversation.

I’m no fan of Rose, and I don’t think he should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame.  That said, he was really nice to Rich and I saw them laughing several times.  Sports bettors always know the best places to eat.

Here’s the short video review of Pasta Mia just before Rose entered and took a seat.

The Lesson:  You never know who you may run into in Las Vegas.
