ANALYSIS AND PICKS FOR CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS:
PRELUDE: This has been a rough playoff run for me. I’ve enjoyed a strong season, mostly due to a solid performance and sizable profit in the second half of the NFL regular season. However, Weeks 19 and 20 (the previous two weeks of playoff games) have resulted in some bad beats, tough breaks, unexpected outcomes, and a woeful 6-13 betting record. My overall win percentage for the season dropped from 57 percent down to 55 percent. Now, with just two weeks and three games remaining, this isn’t the time to chase losses or try to pull off a last-second miracle. A winning season is virtually guaranteed, and the strategy should be now what it’s always been — to identify value and make wagers when we perceive to enjoy some kind of advantage.
Enough excuses and lecturing. Let’s now get on to the two conference championship games.
