“WAR” IS “RAW” SPELLED BACKWARDS
a.k.a. WHAT’S ON FIRST, WHO’S ON SECOND, I DON’T KNOW’S ON THIRD, AND NOBODY’S HOME
My fellow Americans — we are not at WAR.
Who says so?
The Department of WAR, says so.
That’s confusing. Can you clarify?
The Department of WAR says this is not a WAR.
It’s the Department of WAR. So then, why do they say — this isn’t a WAR?
Because it’s not a WAR. It’s an act of national DEFENSE.
Wait — didn’t the Department of WAR used to be called the Department of DEFENSE?
That’s right.
What’s right?
They used to be the Department of DEFENSE.
So, why did they change to the Department of WAR and then launch a WAR, but they call it something different?
Who called it something different?
The Secretary of WAR. He’s in charge of the Department of WAR.
That’s right, the Secretary of WAR says this is an act of national DEFENSE. But — it’s not a WAR.
The Department of WAR launched 1,300 attacks on a foreign country. Then, that country launched 700 attacks back onto many other countries. Fourteen countries, so far. And no end in sight. That sure sounds like a WAR.
No, those were MILITARY STRIKES.
Okay, what about deliberately killing a foreign national leader in MILITARY STRIKES? I’d call that an ASSASSINATION. That seems very much “WAR-like.”
He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. It happens.
Right, it happens….in WAR. What about the latest news — that the country under attack must “unconditionally surrender.” That sounds like WAR.
That’s DIPLOMACY. That leads to NEGOTIATION.
The new leader announced they will never surrender. And, the country responsible for starting the WAR –errr I mean the MILITARY STRIKES– says he won’t negotiate anything. He’ll just keep on attacking, maybe for many more weeks or months or who knows how much longer. Aren’t those the exact definitions of WAR?
No, that’s “OPERATION EPIC FURY.”
Now I get it. Well, I’m glad this is NOT a war. Thanks for clearing that up!
