They say some really mean things sometimes.
Take for instance when I’m out running.
When I run during the morning, that’s about the time of day when the kids are going to school. On weekdays, I mean. That means the children from a nearby elementary school are usually walking on the sidewalks. Most of the kids are between the ages of 6 and 10. While running, I often pass them by without paying much notice. But sometimes I can’t help but hear their smart-ass comments. Little shits.
You wouldn’t believe what those bastard kids say sometimes.

Your body weight isn’t just a number.
Well, it is a number — but what really matters is how you interpret it.
Since I’ve been on a so-called “health kick” the last three years, I’ve never had an actual target goal in mind when it comes to weight. As I said, your weight is merely a number. What truly matters is being healthier, feeling better, and getting into shape.
I’ve pretty much accomplished becoming fit, although not without some primavera peaks and vermicelli valleys. It’s also just as important to keep off the pounds as to lose them. Trouble is — I’m addicted to food. Good food, that is. I’m addicted to wine, also. Good wine, especially when it’s on sale.
Why do I chose to drink mineral water all the time?
Rather than ask why I drink mineral water mostly, the rightful question is — why do so many people willingly consume the legal poison known as soft drinks?
Even more appalling — why do so many parents pump their kids full of all so much syrupy garbage? Someone please explain this bizarre atrocity to me, because I sure can’t figure it out. It’s perfectly clear how dangerous soft drinks are to one’s health, especially when they’re the primary consumable of most people’s diets.
A few weeks ago, I posted an announcement about suffering severe lower back pain.
It was killing me!
Well, many of you sent helpful advice about what I should do. Several people forwarded names and phone numbers of doctors they’ve used in the past which helped with their problems. Others just sent along kind words.
To all of you — thank you.
When it comes to good health, I won the lottery.
At least until now.
Never once have I faced a serious health issue. That’s really remarkable for someone who crossed the 50-yard-line two years ago and lived what some might consider an unorthodox lifestyle. In fact, it’s kinda’ shocking I’ve never had a health scare before.
Well, maybe things are finally starting to catch up with me. This past Saturday morning, I threw my back out. I haven’t been able to walk in four days. The pain has been excruciating.
I’ve tolerated lower back issues off an on for several years. But when something flared up, the pain usually went away after just a day or so. Not this time.
