A Sincere Note of Thanks

A few weeks ago, I posted an announcement about suffering severe lower back pain.

It was killing me!

Well, many of you sent helpful advice about what I should do.  Several people forwarded names and phone numbers of doctors they’ve used in the past which helped with their problems.  Others just sent along kind words.

To all of you — thank you.

Indeed, I did take your advice.  I’ve been to a chiropractor three times now, which I give a mixed grade (future writing material).  I also saw one of the specialists referred to me by a nice reader.  I’m still undergoing treatment and will see him a second time tomorrow.  At least my back pain has now subsided a bit, making life so much easier.  It’s amazing how we take pain-free living for granted.  Only when we get hit with something like a back problem or a toothache, do we then understand how precious a gift it is simply to feel good.

I was reluctant to share these personal health issues with others.  My initial thoughts were — no one wants to listen to someone else’s health problems.  Then again, I’ve shared a few personal things with readers.  So, given that this problem dominated my consciousness over the last few weeks (try to do anything when your back is killing you and you’ll soon discover — you can’t), I figured I should just talk straight about it.

Once again, thanks to all of you who sent along with such good advice.  It really helped.

Now, it’s back to the grind once again.
