Republican Political Suicide

The only good thing about the current dysfunction of the Republican Party is that they’re very likely committing mass political suicide.

Some examples:

1. Republicans are hopelessly out of touch on guns and gun safety:

Every prospective Republican presidential candidate tried to prove how much they love guns at yesterday’s N.R.A. convention. READ MORE HERE  It was an assault weapons love fest. Republicans are so chronically out of step on gun safety with most of America, that they’ll continue slipping in support and will lose more moderates. This country desperately wants reforms and some restrictions. But the entire Republican Party is collared by the N.R.A.

2. Republicans are hopelessly out of touch on abortion, medical privacy, and women’s rights:

The exact same thing is happening with the abortion issue. READ MORE HERE Around 70 percent of America was perfectly fine with Roe v. Wade in place. Now, Republicans in half the states are making abortion illegal and want to turn vulnerable and helpless women and their medical doctors into criminals. America isn’t going back to the Dark Ages on abortion and so long as Republicans take extremist views hopelessly out of touch with reality, they’ll lose votes.

3. Republicans are hopelessly out of touch on Trump:

It appears that despite his web of lies and pending indictments, Republicans are on the verge of anointing a widely detested criminal and traitor as their presidential nominee. Trump is currently ahead by a whopping 25 points in the polls among GOP voters, and widening his lead against a gaggle of ass-kissers. READ MORE HERE  Let’s remember, Trump lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by 3 million in 2016. He was the reason Republicans lost the midterms in 2018. He lost the popular vote to Joe Biden by 7 million in 2020. And he was the reason Republicans suffered the worst performance in a midterm election for an out-of-power party in 50 years in 2022. So, yeah — nominate Trump in 2024 and see what happens. He’ll likely lose by 10 million, regardless of who Democrats nominate. Trump’s ceiling isn’t rising. It will never be anywhere near a majority.

So, keep up the good work, Republicans!

Well done!
