Las Vegas, NV (June 26, 2014) “Poker Night in America” (PNIA), an exciting new weekly television series scheduled to debut nationally in Summer 2014  announced today the signing of an official sponsorship agreement with the All-American Poker Network (AAPN).  AAPN, which will target the regulated United States online gaming market, is a joint venture between 888 Holdings (888) — one of the world’s leading online gaming operators — and Avenue Capital Group (ACG) – one of the world’s leading investment firms.

888Poker is already a well-known and highly-trusted brand in the online gaming world.  Leveraging 888’s award-winning software and management services has enabled the 888Poker brand to become the world’s second-largest online poker network.  Moreover, has become the third-largest independent poker room in the state of New Jersey.  888Poker is operated under a license issued by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE).

888Poker is also bucking industry trends by continuing to grow domestically and worldwide.  Over the past year 888Poker has experienced 10 percent growth versus and overall industry decline of 9 percent worldwide.  Source:  Pokerscout March 2014

This agreement represents a unique cooperative alliance in both gaming and entertainment and which increases the potential for further expansion.  “Poker Night in America,” which is produced by Rush Street Productions, is currently in the midst of filming and releasing its first full season of new shows.  The production team recently announced a national television deal with CBS Sports which will broadcast “Poker Night in America” weekly on Sunday nights. The first show debuts this Sunday, June 29th.

“This agreement represents the perfect symbiosis between poker as televised entertainment, and the growing market of online gaming led by one of the world’s premier providers,” said Todd Anderson, founder and president of Poker Night in America.  “With 888’s deep poker experience and AAPN’s strong US-market positioning, we can bridge from live-action to a much larger market of players, consumers, and viewers.”

David Licht, Executive Chairman of AAPN commented, ”We are delighted to be teaming up with PNIA on what promises to be a highly entertaining and thrilling live poker TV show. Through this sponsorship, we’re looking forward to bringing the 888poker brand to a wide TV audience of poker players in our current and future regulated online poker markets across the United States.”

888Poker also shares PNIA’s creative vision of bringing personality back to the game.  Instead of watching tournament final tables with anonymous players hidden beneath hoodies and silenced by ear-phones, PNIA is stacking the deck in favor of fun by using hand-picked pros joined by amateur players in a real cash game environment at select venues throughout the U.S.  In addition to poker action, behind-the-scenes comedy and drama promises to make PNIA compelling must-see television for all poker players and fans of the game.
