On the 10-Year Anniversary of Poker’s Black Friday
Today marks the 10-year anniversary of poker’s “Black Friday.”
Award-winning writer Bill Ordine, a former reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Baltimore Sun, now writes regularly for Gambling.com. He also authored the definitive book on the history of the bridge between sports gambling prohibition and (now) widespread legal sports gambling, Fantasy Sports, Real Money (published in 2016). Bill is one of the top writers in the gambling sector working today who has covered poker and sports gambling for 20+ years.
When I heard Bill was working on a three-part series on the ten-year anniversary of poker’s version of “Black Friday,” this became a “must-read.” I appreciate Bill quoting me in the articles, in addition to Avi Rubin, Todd Anderson, Mark Tenner, John Pappas, and others.
