KBJ — ALL THE WAY!
Today, while watching the first of what’s expected to be three days of Senate testimony from Ketanji Brown Jackson, I was overly impressed with her character and demeanor, arguably two of the most critical attributes of any Supreme Court justice, since confirmation means a lifetime appointment.
Like many Americans, this was my first real exposure to KBJ. I was blown away by the wisdom, kindness, and humility of President Biden’s Supreme Court nominee in her opening remarks, which lasted about 10 minutes and are well worth listening to and watching. What a beautiful introduction, especially her loving tribute to her parents, and family.
I predict that KBJ will make a terrific addition to the high court. However, two days of intense testimony are about to come, starting tomorrow. The only resentment I have on this entire matter is that unapologetic traitors within the opposition party will be granted a platform to spread lies and stoke fears, but hey — that’s what Republicans do (and unfortunately, are very, very good at), spreading lies and stoking fears. Get ready. Fortunately, KBJ is up to the challenge.
Here to wishing “KBJ” well, and looking forward to her getting through the Hawley-Cruz clown circus, then watching make a positive impact on the future of our nation for decades to come.
