Biden Plays Hide and Seek

MORE EVIDENCE SOMETHING’S WRONG (OR JUST BAD PR MANAGEMENT?)

Today will mark FIVE DAYS since last week’s debate night fiasco. Five days.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday have passed, and now it’s Tuesday —- and President Biden has yet to make even ONE unscripted public event appearance.

Nada. Nothing.

No interviews. No interactions, other than in a highly-controlled setting.

In fact, his schedule today consists of a “workday” from 10 am until 1:10 pm, a load duration of little more than three hours, which includes two short obligatory closed door briefings, one meeting with officials on the subject of extreme weather, and then a private campaign reception in the late afternoon (non-official). That’s it.

This is APPALLING mismanagement, and even worse public relations, that is, unless something is seriously wrong.

I don’t want to hear the President is tired, or ill (he looked and talked fine yesterday in the 3 minutes he was on camera), or resting, or busy with other matters. He’s in the middle of a bitter presidential race, not to mention in charge of a presidency, and currently faces a growing chorus of doubts questioning his fitness for office. If President Biden is hoping to provide “reassurance” and “confidence,” THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT. Not *working* 4 hours a day, hiding away from the press, and failing to interact in an UNSCRIPTED public setting in any way.

See Roll Call‘s presidential schedule via the link below, which is posted daily. I’ve cut and pasted his schedule today (Tuesday). See below.

In recent days, I’ve read a number of comments and seen posts from readers here telling me “Joe’s fine.” Or, “it was an isolated event.” Or, “it was an off night.” Or, “he drank too much cough syrup.” Well, I’d think FIVE DAYS after the disaster and his campaign imploding since then, President Biden, the White House, and the re-election campaign would be doing EVERYTHING possible to counter growing fears and at least make an attempt to show an engaged, alert, fit man ready to run and lead. If “Joe’s fine,” then get him in front of people, interacting, answering questions, showing the ability to engage. We’ve seen NONE of that, and this should scare the hell out of you if you’re a Democrat paying attention.

Indeed, pay close attention to his official schedule in the coming days. Either something’s seriously wrong, or this campaign is being grotesquely mismanaged.

Finally, for the record it gives me no joy to point out these concerns. But anyone who’s not alarmed by this isn’t facing reality.
