They were vicarious expressions of our very own deeply-subdued emotions, in many cases reflecting loss that Sinatra himself suffered over many decades. Osteria Costa was an accidental discovery and a shockingly great find.
I used the phrase “shockingly great” for good reason. It’s the type of restaurant I normally avoid and even abhor: A Saturday night visit. On The Strip. Pricey Italian. Seemingly pretentious. Snooty. Not my kinda’ place.

Betting on elections requires an apolitical approach. Personal opinions about candidates and various outcomes are not only irrelevant but delusory. Just as wagering for or against sports teams because of our allegiances would be a long-term losing strategy, betting on political elections because we prefer one candidate versus the other is misguided.
