Final NFL 2017-2018 Results (Wrap Up)

This now concludes my sixth season of posting NFL picks here at my website.  This span includes more than 1,000 picks.  I have enjoyed four winning seasons and two losing seasons.

Wow.  What a great game.  What an amazing Super Bowl.

Really impressed with Philadelphia, which showed real guts.  Brilliant coaching and execution.

Also impressed with New England’s offense, especially Tom Brady, who is UNDOUBTEDLY the best quarterback ever.  Anyone who doubts this is clueless.  Mark my words — I’m no Brady or Patriots fan.  But this has become indisputable.  Brady threw for 505 yards (smashing the previous Super Bowl yardage mark), 3 touchdowns, 0 interceptions — and still lost.

Blame a horrific New England defense, especially a defensive line which took the afternoon off.  This was a disgraceful effort.  Horrendous.

Now, on to the topic of betting:

I’m reasonably satisfied with my betting results this season, which showed a nice profit.  Sure, I made some mistakes and endured some bad weeks and flat periods over the past five months.  I also blew lots of games that seemed obvious, in retrospect.  I have to remind myself that football handicapping is a constant *learning process.*  There is no such thing as an “expert.”  All successful sports gamblers are students, constantly updating access to information and improving their skill set.

This now concludes my sixth season of posting NFL picks here at my website.  This span includes more than 1,000 picks.  I have enjoyed four winning seasons and two losing seasons.  I’m pleased to be ahead overall (I’ll provide a comprehensive W-L results page prior to next season).

I’ve been posting football picks for the past 24 seasons, prior to this page at other outlets (MadJackSports, SportsFanRadio, etc.).  However, only these picks are verifiable so many years later, so I’ll keep a running track of overall results based on the last six years (all picks can be searched here dating back to 2012).

Thanks for visiting the site and reading my content.

Enjoy the off-season.
